Our Journey

Founded in 1978, Seymour Civil Engineering has grown from its roots in the water sector to become a trusted specialist across a broad range of markets.

Operating from our base in Hartlepool, we now deliver civil engineering solutions across the North East and Yorkshire, bringing decades of experience and a strong local presence to every project.

Since joining Renew Holdings PLC in 2007, we’ve become part of a group of independently branded businesses backed by the strength and shared knowledge of a leading UK engineering services provider. This partnership allows us to draw on best practices from high-risk, regulated markets while maintaining our own identity and values.

At Seymour, we believe our attention to detail and commitment to delivering more than just construction has made us a trusted and competitive contractor. This approach has secured our place as a primary contractor on several key frameworks.

Our dedication to getting it right the first time, ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining high-quality standards has earned us numerous awards—both for our project outcomes and for fostering a strong, people-focused company culture.

We’re proud to build long-term, collaborative relationships with our clients. We listen closely, align with your goals, and always look for opportunities to go the extra mile.

Seymour celebrate and champion our self-delivery model which means not only can we take great pride in ensuring a robust approach to health and safety and our quality of workmanship, but it also means we live our values as a people business - investing heavily in our people and our plant. I am extremely proud of our efforts to Deliver Beyond Construction as we continue to strive to operate responsibly and give back to the communities in which we work whilst delivering innovative solutions adding value to our clients.
