X-energy Evet

Last week, Team Seymour attended an event hosted by X-energy and Centrica at Hartlepool College of Further Education, marking a major milestone in plans to deliver the UK’s first advanced modular reactor (AMR) power station in Hartlepool.

The event showcased the significant impact this project is expected to have, including:

Creating thousands of highly skilled jobs over a 60-year operational lifespan
Contributing more than £12bn in economic value
Generating enough energy to power up to 1.5 million homes

Mal Bell (Operations Director), Stuart Ormiston (Industrial Pre-Construction Manager) and Sarah Ainslie (Seymour Skills Academy Training Consultant) attended an engaging presentation and Q&A session led by X-energy and Centrica. The team also had the opportunity to connect with local leaders, industry partners and Government representatives.

This landmark development represents a major step forward for Hartlepool, with far-reaching benefits for the local community and the wider energy sector.
