Meet Sarah Jopling, Site Manager!
Sarah began her journey with Team Seymour in 2009 completing some work experience as a Civil Engineer for three months whilst studying Engineering (BEng) focused on Civil Engineering at Teesside University. Sarah quickly made a name for herself in the industry after receiving North East Trainee of the Year in the region’s Wellies and Hard Hat Industry in 2013, being the first woman to win the award in 8 years!
Sarah then re-joined Team Seymour in 2018 progressing to a Site Manager, she recently worked on the multi award-winning Elephant Rock project completed on behalf of Hartlepool Borough Council and is now leading works at Berrymead and Ingenium Parc, Darlington.
Sarah said: “I don’t see that what I do is any different to what anyone else does in a similar role. However, I do recognise that there needs to be increased awareness of opportunities with accessible role models so our next generation has this same attitude, so they see our industry as inclusive and do not identify any barriers to reaching their ambitions”
