Seymour Civil Engineering is proud to announce our sponsorship of The Tall Ships Hartlepool!

We couldn’t be more thrilled to support this magnificent event, celebrating our rich maritime heritage and embracing diverse cultures. It’s right on the doorstep of our head office at Hartlepool Marina, making it even more special for us.

Save the date and come visit us at The Tall Ships Hartlepool 2023. We can’t wait to share this incredible experience with all of you!

Adam Harker, Managing Director, said: “As a water specialist civil engineering contractor, our experience is born from the marine, river and coastal sector. It is great to see attention on such a huge scale brought to this town.

“For over 45 years, since inception, we have always had our head office and depot around the Hartlepool Marina area and we are delighted to be part of such a spectacle on our doorstep.

“As a Hartlepool contractor, we are passionate about giving back to the communities in which we work and Hartlepool is at the heart of that.

“Seymour is passionate about delivering beyond construction and give back to the areas in which we work, we are very excited to see residents from Hartlepool and across the North-East come together to celebrate this vibrant and enriching experience.”

We will be taking part in the prize giving on Friday, July 7 following the crew parade and they will also have branded deckchairs by the stage during that part of the celebration.

Business Development manager Lisa Todd said: “To have delivered such developments with Hartlepool Borough Council means the synergy to celebrate this area felt a natural selection.

“We are proud that the Waterfront will be utilised throughout such a spectacle.

“The last visit of the Tall Ships Races 13 years ago was such a wonderful experience. Celebrating different cultures, enjoying music, and observing ships made for an exciting and diverse weekend.

“Many of our colleagues have fond memories of the last visit and are looking forward to celebrating cultural diversity and enjoying various forms of entertainment this time round.”

More than 50 live music acts headlined by Maximo Park and The Wailers will be entertaining crowds for free over the course of the four days while there will be a wide range of other spectacles such as the Walk the Plank pyrotechnics and fireworks displays.

Lisa said: “We are very excited about supporting both local indie-pop band Marketplace and Hartlepool’s own Charlotte Grayson at the event.

“Supporting local artists is an excellent way to appreciate and contribute to the local music scene. It is also such a great opportunity for all the local businesses and the wider local economy and we cannot wait to support them over the course of the Tall Ships weekend.”
