Site Supervisor

  • Closing Date: TBC
  • Location: Site Specific - North East / Yorkshire
  • Reporting to: Site Manager

Main Responsibilities

  • Delivering Site Inductions.
  • Responsible for ensuring works are completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Manage works in accordance with company quality assurance procedures.
  • Effective planning and preparation of the works to ensure correct resource, materials, plant, notices, etc. are in place to allow works to progress in accordance with the programme.
  • Knowledge or appropriative construction methods and specifications.
  • Management of Operatives and Sub Contractors.
  • Notification of Absence / Sickness.
  • Performance Managing & Scoring of Site Operative, Sub Contractors and Supply Chain.
  • Managing and completing day work sheets and Timesheets.
  • Carry out Dilapidation Surveys.
  • Completion of progress photographs and daily diaries.
  • Following internal procurement process and managing material, plant and equipment deliveries.
  • Carry out safety talks and Daily Briefings.
  • Ensuring that we are working to the latest revision of construction design drawings.
  • Ensuring relevant paperwork is returned to HO.
  • Managing and providing As-built information.
  • Liaising with the Client or Principal Contractor.
  • Managing Sub Contractors.
    Managing Suppliers.
  • Liaising with third parties (e.g. council, other contractors, etc.).
  • Having an understanding surveying and setting out/engineering techniques using the latest technologies. 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

A supervisor would be expected to hold or be working towards the following:

  • Abrasive Wheels
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • CAT and Genny
  • Confined Spaces (City & Guild)
  • Environmental Awareness
  • First Aid at Work
  • Manual Handling
  • NRASWA Streetworks (Supervisor)

 

  • RASWA Supervisor
  • Slinger, Signaller
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Manual Handling
  • NVQ L3 construction supervisor
  • NVQ L5 or 6 Site manager
  • SSSTS
  • Driving licence
