Site Engineer

Main Responsibilities

Setting out and surveying of construction site.
Ensuring that all works are complete to the latest revisions of construction drawings.
Deliver site inductions including completion of the associated attendance briefing sheet.
Ensuring the works are completed without harm and in line with Seymour Safety, Health & Environmental standards.
Ensuring that all deliveries are fully checked before being signed for.
The delivery of daily briefings to all site-based personnel.
Ensuring the works are completed to correct quality in accordance with relevant specifications and construction drawings.
Daily management of site operatives and subcontractors.

Notifying Wages and Human Resources of any absence (authorised or unauthorised) and sickness.
Ensuring all relevant documents are returned to Head Office.
Ensuring adequate dilapidation survey / pre‐start photographs are taken prior to commencing on‐site
Ensuring adequate progress photographs are taken during the construction phase of the project. This includes daily photographs of all work fronts irrespective of progress made or if works are ‘standing’.
Ensuring adequate completion photographs are taken upon completion of the works.
Collation of as‐built construction information.
Any other duties as required for the role.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Appropriate knowledge of construction methods and specifications required to complete the works.
Good practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook.
Good communication skills – written and verbal.
Good interpersonal skills – ability to liaise with site team.
Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS).

Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Site supervisor’s card.
NVQ Level 3 construction supervisor.
Temporary Works Supervisor.
New Roads and Street works Act (NRASWA) Supervisor.
First Aid Certificate.
Full driving licence.
