Meet Evie, our new HR Support Assistant Apprentice!
Evie joined #TeamSeymour at the beginning of the year and is already making great progress with the company. In addition to learning the ropes of HR, Evie is a part of the Social Value & Engagement Committee where she can contribute to making a difference in the areas in which we work.
We had a chat with Evie and asked her a few questions about her time as an apprentice so far:
What do you love most about your apprenticeship?
“What I love most about my apprenticeship is how welcoming and nice all the staff at Seymour have been. I was nervous to come into a new place with so many new people, but they couldn’t have been more welcoming, they made me feel comfortable instantly. I also really enjoy doing all day-to-day roles and I know that if I’m struggling there will always be someone there to help. Seymour is a very positive company and aims to make positive changes, which I think is amazing to be a part of.”
What advice would you give to someone interested in doing an apprenticeship?
“The advice I would give to someone interested in doing an apprenticeship is to just go for it, especially if you’re not 100% on going to college/university, as this was the position I was in after completing my A levels. Not only are you getting work experience and pay, but you are constantly learning and will get a qualification at the end of it. It is the best of both worlds.”
