John has had a brilliant journey with Team Seymour! He first came to our Seymour Skills Academy in September 2020 joining the Gateway to Construction Programme. Since then John has completed the 2-week Excavator 360 training course, Slinger Signaller training, worked alongside a lifting operator and successfully passed his CSCS test.
In January 2021, John was nominated as candidate for a new General Construction Operative Apprentice position at Seymour and following the interview was offered the position. John has been involved in many projects, including Teesworks, Strabag’s HS2 Tunnel Segment Factory in Hartlepool, Durham Bus Station and the A1 Birtley Road Expansion. Inspired by his mentor who at the time had recently Graduated as a Site Engineer, John is now completing his Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship with Seymour and undertaking the role of Trainee Site Engineer with aspirations to become a fully qualified Site Engineer in the near future. We look forward to seeing John progress further into his career!
