We were proud to attend the Skills Bootcamp: Meet the Employer Day at Hartlepool College of Further Education. This valuable initiative supports learners in connecting with employment opportunities within the construction industry and plays an important role in helping to bridge the skills gap, ensuring a thriving and sustainable civil engineering sector across the North East for years to come.
Representing Team Seymour were Mal Bell, Operations Director, Donna King, Training Manager and Sarah Ainsley, Training Consultant. The team delivered a presentation outlining who Seymour are, what we do and what we stand for, while also showcasing the Seymour Skills Academy and the opportunities it provides.
It was great to join other local employers, all with a shared commitment to developing future talent and strengthening the regional construction workforce.
The event brought together more than 20 jobseekers who were keen to learn more about careers in construction and connect face-to-face with employers. Structured to be supportive and approachable, the day combined a programme overview with informal discussions designed to encourage confidence and uncover future industry talent.
