Our newly appointed Water Director, Simon Reed, attended the British Water Conference “Creating a More Sustainable Water Sector” in Manchester earlier this week.
A very useful and interesting event, celebrating the success and sharing best practice from those pioneering innovative ways forward to address challenges faced within the Water Sector. Topics discussed were Nature Based Solutions, commitment to achieving Net Zero by 2030 and Social Value successes applied in AMP7 across the sector.
As Water and Wastewater specialists, it is our job to push towards achieving Sustainability Development Goal 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030, but also remain accountable by ensuring we are progressing to mitigate the effects of Climate Change, manage increasing customer expectations and ensure affordability.
