A historical junction and access road into an abandoned site was re-purposed to provide access to a new housing estate being constructed on an existing brownfield site. Site clearance works were undertaken, and resurfacing works completed to the existing junction and access road. A new footpath arrangement was constructed and ducting installed for high voltage cables to a newly built substation. New street lighting installed to the footpath and road layout. A Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) was implemented to prevent a right hand turn in the lane while the works were completed. Inert excess materials were stored on site and used to make up the levels of the footpath and verge.
