Maintenance works were completed to flood storage areas, reservoirs and watercourses at various sites controlled by Wakefield Council. Works involved vegetation cutting, weed removal, the management and cutting of trees and obstruction removal.
This ensured watercourses, flood storage areas and reservoirs were clear of obstructions and functioning as required, ensuring normal flows and capability to manage water capacities, reducing flood risk for the surrounding areas.
