This design and build car park has been constructed on a brownfield site and required the creation of 45 car and van spaces including electric charging points and associated hard and soft landscaping to meet current and future Yorkshire Water requirements.

The 4,700m2 site provides 8 car/small van spaces, 21 large van space, 8 car/small van electric charging points and 10 large van electric charging points. Section 278 works were completed to create a new junction from the existing road into the new car park. Temporary two-way traffic lights were installed to Nether Lane to maintain traffic flow and reduce disruption. A geo-cellular block attenuation tank was installed on top of a geotextile to retain water during significant rainfall and storm events, slowly releasing water back into the drainage system, reducing flood risk. The drainage and outfall were constructed and connected to the tank along with a petrol interceptor. Ducting was installed for the lighting columns, EV charging points and CCTV. The tarmac surfacing was laid and white lining, road marking and tree and shrub planting completed the project.
