Client

Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve required the replacement of an existing faulty septic tank and the repair of a foul sewer connection. New inspection chamber unit, treatment unit, pumping station and outfall were installed.

The existing septic tank was decommissioned and ancillary works to pipework and electrical connections completed as part of the works. The new system had to cross a high pressure gas main, we liaised with Northern Gas Networks and created and submitted a new design for the client which resulted in a new outfall being constructed and feeds into the adjacent water. Ground water on site required submersible pumps to be used and were in operation 24/7 while the pipework and tanks were installed.
