Infrastructure works were completed which enabled the operation of North Yorkshire County Council’s mobile temporary flood pumps and discharge pipework at four locations across Malton and Old Malton. To provide access and create stable areas to operate temporary flood pumps green paving was installed at two locations and a 4m2 concrete foundation constructed with steel frame pump supports at a third location. 45m of ductile iron pipe was installed to a National Heritage protected bridge and fixed using structural steel brackets. To protect the bridge from damage and undermining during flooding 21m2 of scour protection was installed.
