This project provided infrastructure and a steel framed building for the new energy centre which supplies Huntsman with steam via three new boilers. Seymour completed the ground remediation, undertook the fire main diversion and testing of the system, foundation piling and construction of reinforced concrete pile caps. A surface water drainage system was constructed along with specialist connections and epoxy ultra coat lining to the chambers with chemical resistant CIPP lining to the pipework. Structural column foundations, foundation slabs and plinths were constructed for stand alone plant and equipment. We also constructed an insulated, portal frame energy centre building with reinforced concrete floor. Sealed bunds, pits and storage tank bases were constructed along with a chimney stack base to support the 40m high unit.
