Last week, we partnered with Avove to support a STEM Day at Pelton Primary School, part of the New College Durham Academies Trust.
We are proud to be working alongside Avove on the NWL Southfields project, the first Living Water Enterprise scheme to break ground. It was fantastic to see colleagues from across the Living Water Enterprise and wider ecosystem come together to represent Northumbrian Water and inspire the next generation.
The day included:
A careers fair
Interactive presentations
Hands-on construction activities
An opportunity for pupils to experience civil engineering through our VR construction simulator, which proved hugely popular
A particular highlight was seeing Matthew Simpson, Avove Project Manager, return to his former primary school to share his career journey. His story brought the industry to life, showing pupils that these career paths are both real and achievable.
