Seymour Obtains Accredditation under EN ISO 14001: 1996

The greater emphasis on safety, health and environmental issues within the in the industry in general has caused us to rewrite our safety manuals and further develop our processes and procedures to meet relevant legislation and working practices.

We have adapted and reformed our documentation to match the operational needs of the business and decided that the time has come to build on our quality image and formally register our safety, health and environmental management systems.

We have now obtained accredditation in december 2004 for EN ISO 14001: 1996 the Environmental Management Systems Standard.

We are currently being assessed by BSI for registration under OHSAS ISO 18000: 1999 the Health and Safety Standard.

All these standards and our quality systems based on en iso 9001 are reviewed on an annual basis to reflect industry and company changes which keeps the company at the forefront of good practice.

Seymour are currently being assessed for accreditation under the Investors in People banner. We have a skilled and committed workforce and believe in the development of individuals to their full potential. The Investors in People accreditation will allow the company to publicly demonstrate its commitment to its employees to a standard which is widely recognised.

Seymour Receives Project of the Year (2004) Certificate of Commendation

Seymour Civil Engineering received a certificate of commendation from the civil engineering contractors association at its annual dinner held in newcastle. the award was for the Seaton Carew sea defence scheme carried out for Hartlepool Borough Council.
