The works were split between four phases and included the construction of 5 new CSO chambers with outfalls, the installation of approximately 5.2 km of pipelines and the abandonment of existing outfalls and pipelines.

In addition to traditional open cut drainage, trenchless technology in the form of pipe jacking and pipe bursting were also utilised on certain areas of this project to avoid unnecessary disruption to the surrounding areas.
