Project Description:
Redcar and Cleveland Council required major landscape statements at the access points from the A66 to the industrial areas alongside the River Tees. This scheme was one of several improvements carried out by Seymour Civil Engineering and involved the creation of a large concrete feature incorporating blue glass aggregates, in the verge of the highway at the junction of the Tees Dock Road. We also carried out the installation of historic industrial pieces in the roundabout. These highways are extremely busy. The planning of the work needed careful consideration in view of the restrictions imposed by maintaining vehicle use of the highway.
This urban regeneration scheme is in the historic setting of the upper Saltburn promenade.
